We are getting hundreds emails from Prospective Adoptive Parents these days asking for adoption from Haiti.
There are thousands of children needing a home. However, it is unsure when the Haitian government will be able to start to process new adoptions again. The orphanages also states they are unsure if the government will reaffirm existing rules or make new ones to potentially expedite the process.
The orphanages we are working with not accepting new applications at this time and asking families to hold off until further notice.
Our agency will keep you inform and notify interested families as soon as we get any news.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is working with the Haitian government to try to speed up adoptions for American families who were in the adoption process before the earthquake.
